Cool Fat $1 Million Promo

The Brief:

 

Stanley is a leading global manufacturer of hand tools, power tools and related accessories, and are a flagship brand of the wider Stanley Black + Decker Corporation. To leverage off of their MCG ground sponsorship investment, they kicked off an amazing PTP promotional campaign called Stanley Fatmax Cool Fat Million Tool Box Challenge.

 

To really amplify the fan experience, Stanley reached out to ACTIV to help provide activation solutions that will connect the AFL fans with the Stanley FATMAX brand on game day. The main objective was to create an impacting, crowd drawing activation concept on the MCG concourse: Whilst providing the perfect platform for our lucky winner to have a crack at the chance to win $1,000,000 cash!

 

That’s where we came in. 

The Result:

 

Our 'Brand Activation Vehicle' was dressed to the nines on the night of the Cool FAT Million Tool Box Challenge.

With all of the latest and greatest Stanley FATMAX products on display, we had a lot more in store for the lucky footy fanatics to feast their eyes on at the G.

We custom made a hand ball wall and everyone that landed all 3 x hand balls through the wall, then walked up to the platform to spin the prize wheel. The winners were mailed out their prize so they didn't have to trek around the grounds carrying bulky items.

Needless to say, everyone was a winner. Fans from all walks of life had a go at the hand ball competition and crowds gathered around when our Toolbox challenge winner stepped forward to see what fate awaited him. The chance to win $1m cash / $20k cash or $5k worth of Stanley FATMAX products.

Our videographer captured all of the excitement and produced a clip for Stanley to use as content across their digital platforms.
